  • 23 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cake Batter

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  1. Divide the batter evenly between the cake pans.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 3: Make the Frosting

  1. Beat the butter until smooth.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing on low speed.
  3. Add vanilla and heavy cream, then mix on high speed until fluffy.
  4. Divide and add food coloring if needed.

Step 4: Assemble and Decorate

  1. Spread a layer of frosting on one cake, then place the second layer on top.
  2. Frost the entire cake evenly.
  3. Decorate with baby-themed toppers, sprinkles, or fondant designs.
