- 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
- Mix dry ingredients – In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar – In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla – Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients – Alternate adding milk, sour cream, and dry mixture.
- Bake – Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool and frost – Let cakes cool completely before frosting.
- Decorate with a name – Pipe a name using a piping bag or an edible cake marker.
Notes
- Substitute almond extract for vanilla for a nutty flavor.
