Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Beat butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth and airy.
- Add wet ingredients: Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and milk until fully incorporated.
- Combine with dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until well combined.
