  • 6 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
Sauce ingredients
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 ¼ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup sour cream

Method
 

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions; set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet; drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. Melt butter, whisk in flour to make a roux, then gradually add beef broth and milk, stirring until thickened.
  4. Stir in seasonings, then add cooked noodles and beef; mix well.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in sour cream, and serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, sauté some onions with the beef.
