Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk, until just combined.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake them. Store in an airtight container.
