Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets.
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Scoop dough onto sheets, spacing 2 inches apart, and bake for 9–11 minutes.
- Cool cookies on sheets for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on sheets.
