Best Ever Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
  

Cranberries
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 orange orange, zested and juiced
  • 1 cinnamon stick cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Rinse cranberries and remove stems or damaged berries.
  2. Combine water, sugar, orange juice, zest, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Add cranberries and simmer until they burst and sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove cinnamon stick and cool the sauce.
  5. Transfer to a dish and refrigerate before serving.

Notes

This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
