Method
- Rinse cranberries and remove stems or damaged berries.
- Combine water, sugar, orange juice, zest, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Add cranberries and simmer until they burst and sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove cinnamon stick and cool the sauce.
- Transfer to a dish and refrigerate before serving.

This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
