Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup festive sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients; fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  4. Drop spoonfuls onto baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes.
  5. Cool briefly before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let sit for a few minutes.
