Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil sweet potatoes until tender, then drain and mash.
- Mix mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Combine pecans, brown sugar, flour, and melted butter for topping, then sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, toast the pecans before adding to the topping.
