  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet -
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce -
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar -
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves minced
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup salted butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt -
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper -

Method
 

  1. Bring the salmon to room temperature and preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place salmon skin-side down in a baking dish, brush with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, lemon juice, butter, salt, and pepper in a saucepan; heat until smooth (2-3 min).
  4. Pour sauce over salmon, cover with foil, and bake for 10-25 min. Broil uncovered for 2-3 min for caramelization.
  5. Rest for a few minutes, then serve with extra sauce and garnish as desired.

Notes

For best results, use fresh salmon and adjust baking time based on thickness.
