Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Light brown sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chopped pecans

Method
 

  1. Cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  2. Mix in egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Sift in flour, baking soda, and salt; fold into the wet mixture.
  4. Fold in chopped pecans and form dough balls.
  5. Chill dough in refrigerator for 1 hour, then bake at 350°F (175°C) until edges are golden.
  6. Cool cookies on wire rack before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, toast the pecans before adding.
