Cheddar Hash Brown Potato Casserole

Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 bag frozen hash browns 30 oz
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • additional cheddar cheese for topping (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix hash browns, cheese, soup, sour cream, butter, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch dish and top with extra cheese if desired.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. Let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

For a crispier top, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
