  • 8 ounces macaroni
Meat
  • 1 pound ground beef
Vegetables
  • 1 small onion, chopped
Dairy & Canned Goods
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook macaroni until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  3. Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  4. Mix in tomato sauce, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Add macaroni and 1 cup cheese; stir to combine. Transfer to baking dish, top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

For a crunchier topping, add extra breadcrumbs before baking.
