Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned. Add onion and cook until soft. Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- Grease a 9×13 baking dish lightly.
- Spread beef mixture in the dish. Sprinkle half the cheese over the meat. Arrange tater tots in a single layer.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until tots are golden. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top in the last 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with optional toppings.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
