Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cups bread cubes (day-old bread works best)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook sausage until browned, then drain.
  2. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large bowl.
  3. Add sausage, bread cubes, and cheese to the egg mixture; stir well.
  4. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  5. Let cool slightly, sprinkle with parsley if desired, then serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped herbs or hot sauce.
