Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon (plus extra for rolling)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix dry ingredients and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter with sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry, form dough balls, roll in cinnamon-sugar, and place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake 8-10 minutes until edges are golden. Cool before serving.

Notes

For extra cinnamon flavor, sprinkle additional cinnamon on the cookies before baking.
