Method
 

  1. Preheat oven and prepare ingredients.
  2. Brown chicken thighs in a skillet for 5-7 minutes per side.
  3. Add garlic, spices, chopped dates, and a bit of water; simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer everything to a casserole dish and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished as desired.

Notes

Use bone-in chicken for more flavor and adjust spices to taste.
