Ingredients
  

Omelette Batter
  • 1/2 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
  • to taste Salt
Add-ins
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped tomato
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped green chili (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
Cooking
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Method
 

  1. Whisk together chickpea flour, water, turmeric, cumin, and salt until smooth.
  2. Add onion, tomato, chili (if using), and cilantro to the batter and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  4. Pour batter onto the hot pan and spread evenly.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, until golden brown.
  6. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a pinch of asafoetida (hing) to the batter.
