Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour spooned and leveled
  • 1/2 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
Wet ingredients
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 egg yolks egg yolks, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 oz chocolate, chopped (Endangered Species Chocolate Vibrant Cherries + Dark Chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup cherry preserves

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy, then add egg yolks and vanilla.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, then fold in chopped chocolate and cherry preserves.
  4. Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool before serving.
