Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients; fold in chocolate chips. Drop spoonfuls onto sheets.
  5. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool before serving.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
