Christmas Monster Cookies

Celebrate the holidays with these festive, chewy cookies loaded with M&M's, pretzels, and chocolate chips.

Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 cup salted butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Dry ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
Add-ins
  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1.25 cups holiday M&M's
  • 1 cup mini pretzel sticks, crushed
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla. Add eggs and yolk; mix well. Stir in dry ingredients and oats.
  3. Fold in M&M's, pretzels, chocolate chips, and white chocolate.
  4. Form dough into 1/4 cup balls, place on baking sheet, and bake for 8-10 minutes. Add remaining M&M's after baking.
  5. Cool cookies on sheet; enjoy warm or store for up to 4 days.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and evenly sized dough balls.
