Classic Cherry Dump Cake

Ingredients
  

Canned Goods
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving Vanilla ice cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour cherry filling into a greased 9×13 inch dish and spread evenly.
  3. Sprinkle cake mix over the filling, then drizzle melted butter on top.
  4. If desired, sprinkle walnuts on top.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Serve warm with ice cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla to the melted butter before pouring.
