Method
- Brown ground beef in a pot, drain grease.
- Add onion and bell pepper, cook until softened (5 min).
- Stir in garlic, cook 1 minute.
- Add beans, corn, tomatoes, broth, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasonings.
- Serve hot with toppings.
Notes
For a spicier soup, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce.
