Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package (24 oz) frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 cup chopped green onions (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook sausage until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powders.
  4. Layer hash browns in a greased 9x13 dish, add sausage, then sprinkle half of cheese.
  5. Pour egg mixture over, top with remaining cheese and green onions, then bake 45-50 mins.

Notes

For a lighter version, use turkey sausage and low-fat cheese.
