  • 3/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 ounces, softened)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (about 3 ripe bananas)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Add-ins
  • 1 cup toasted walnuts (coarsely chopped)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare loaf pans.
  2. Cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs, then add mashed bananas and vanilla.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients gradually, then fold in walnuts.
  5. Divide batter into pans and bake 45-50 minutes. Cool before serving.

Notes

For best results, use ripe bananas and toast walnuts beforehand for extra flavor.
