Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 1 head Cauliflower cut into florets
Dairy or Alternatives
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
Other
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Steam cauliflower until tender.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, then add milk, salt, and pepper to make a béchamel sauce.
  3. Mix cauliflower with sauce and half of the cheese, then transfer to a baking dish.
  4. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use low-fat cheese and milk for a healthier version.
