  • 1 lb Ground Beef (or Sirloin Tips)
  • 12 oz Pasta (Penne, Fusilli, or Bowtie)
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 5 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 0.5 cup Beef Broth
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional) optional
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • to taste Salt and Black Pepper

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain grease, and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and cook until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in beef broth, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  5. Reduce heat, stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Add beef and pasta back into the skillet.
  6. Toss until well-coated. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, try browning the butter slightly before adding the garlic. Be careful not to burn it!
