Ingredients
  

Refrigerated tortellini
  • 1 package refrigerated tortellini 9 oz
Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 15 oz
Heavy cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garlic
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper
  • to taste salt and pepper
Fresh basil
  • for garnish fresh basil

Method
 

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan; add tortellini and coat. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, sprinkle extra Parmesan on top before serving.
