Method
- Sauté onions in oil until softened.
- Add beef, break it up, and cook until browned.
- Mix in tomato paste and taco seasoning. Add water if needed. Cook until beef is cooked through. Season with salt. Cool slightly.
- Place tortilla, add cheese, beef filling, and more cheese. Fold and press to seal.
- Transfer tacos to a baking sheet and repeat.
- Pan fry tacos until golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy tacos, use a cast iron skillet.
