  • 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, plus extra for sprinkling
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Toast nuts for 8-10 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Combine nuts, dates, cocoa powder, coconut oil, maple syrup, and sea salt in a food processor.
  3. Process until finely ground and sticks together.
  4. Stir in dark chocolate chips.
  5. Press firmly into a lined 8x8 inch pan.
  6. Sprinkle with extra sea salt.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  8. Cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate.
