Delicious High Protein Breakfast Sliders

Ingredients
  

Sliders
  • 12 count Hawaiian rolls like King’s Hawaiian
  • 1 lb. ground beef breakfast beef sausage
  • 16 slices American cheese Boar’s Head suggested
  • 6 large eggs
  • 6 slices thick-cut turkey bacon cooked and cut into pieces
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter melted
  • Everything But The Bagel Seasoning
  • Finely chopped fresh chives for serving (optional)
Dipping Sauce
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1-2 Tbsp. Sriracha or hot sauce of choice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cook ground beef sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up until cooked through. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  3. Scramble eggs in the same skillet, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
  4. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally.
  5. Place bottom half of rolls on the prepared sheet pan.
  6. Layer 8 slices of American cheese over the rolls.
  7. Spread cooked ground beef sausage evenly over the cheese.
  8. Add cooked turkey bacon pieces on top of the beef sausage.
  9. Distribute scrambled eggs evenly over the turkey bacon.
  10. Add the remaining 8 slices of American cheese on top of the eggs.
  11. Place the top half of the rolls back onto the filling. Gently press down.
  12. Brush melted butter over the tops of the rolls.
  13. Sprinkle Everything But The Bagel Seasoning over the buttered tops.
  14. Cover with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  15. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted. Garnish with chives, if using.
  16. Whisk together mayonnaise, Sriracha, Worcestershire sauce, and salt for the dipping sauce.
  17. Slice into individual servings and serve warm with the sriracha mayo.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a layer of caramelized onions or sautéed peppers to the sliders.
