Delicious Sticky Chicken Rice Bowls Recipe

Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut into 1-inch pieces
Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
Serving
  • Cooked rice for serving
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. Whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Add chicken to the bowl and marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken and marinade to the skillet and cook until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Serve the sticky chicken over cooked rice.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
