Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade
  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Stir Fry
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper any color, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 8 ounces egg noodles cooked according to package directions

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine beef, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and cornstarch. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add onion, garlic, bell pepper, and broccoli to the skillet. Cook until tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and ginger.
  6. Return beef to the skillet. Pour sauce over beef and vegetables. Simmer until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss to combine.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
