Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread cherry pie filling in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle cake mix over filling, then drizzle melted butter on top.
- If desired, sprinkle nuts and vanilla on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.

This dessert is best served warm or at room temperature.
