Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 can cherry pie filling 21 oz can
Cake
  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 oz box
Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Nuts (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts optional
Vanilla Extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread cherry pie filling in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle cake mix over filling, then drizzle melted butter on top.
  4. If desired, sprinkle nuts and vanilla on top.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
