Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt salt
Wet ingredients
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed bananas
  • 1/3 cup honey honey
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 large eggs eggs
Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, honey, applesauce, and eggs until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra moisture, add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt to the wet ingredients.
