Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¼ cups chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Mix butter and peanut butter until smooth. Add sugars and mix until creamy.
  2. Beat in vanilla, egg, baking soda, and salt. Mix in flour until dough forms. Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. Scoop 2-tablespoon dough balls onto parchment-lined sheets. Chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F. Press dough balls flat with a fork.
  5. Bake for 8-12 minutes, until slightly brown on the bottom and top loses wet look.
  6. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to one month.

Notes

Chilling the dough helps the cookies retain their shape and bake up with a better texture.
