  • 2 cups leftover cooked rice
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup raisins (optional)
  • Pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Combine rice, milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
  2. Reduce heat, add vanilla, cinnamon, and raisins (if using), and cook for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
  4. Serve warm or chilled, garnished with extra cinnamon if desired.
