Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 ounces linguine noodles
Shrimp
  • 1 pound raw shrimp frozen, peeled, and deveined
Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter used in parts
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon old bay seasoning or substitute with smoked paprika or cajun spices
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream also known as double cream in the uk
  • 0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions.
  2. Sauté garlic in olive oil and butter. Add shrimp, salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning. Cook until shrimp is pink.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Simmer until sauce thickens.
  4. Toss cooked linguine with shrimp sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Adjust seasoning to your preference. For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
