Garlic Butter Chicken and Broccoli

Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
Broccoli
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
Butter and Oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Garlic
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves minced
Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
Garnish
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Add water to the skillet, then add broccoli. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain excess water.
  3. Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet with broccoli. Toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with sesame seeds and parsley if desired. Serve hot with rice, pasta, or as a low-carb option.

Notes

For a low-carb option, serve without rice or pasta. Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level.
