Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional) optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare ingredients: mince garlic and cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and remaining tablespoon of butter; add grated parmesan cheese to create a creamy sauce.
  5. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
  6. Combine drained pasta with the chicken and sauce in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, use fresh Parmesan cheese and consider adding a sprinkle of parsley at the end.
