Method
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add green beans, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Drain and transfer green beans to ice water to stop cooking.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add garlic, and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add green beans to the skillet, toss to coat, and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Drizzle with lemon juice if desired, toss, and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon just before serving.
