Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until garlic is fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until cheese is melted.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat, adding pasta water if needed.
  7. Stir in fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
