  • 1 head broccoli cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 0.25 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving (optional)

Method
 

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain grease.
  2. Add ginger and garlic, cook until fragrant (30 seconds).
  3. Whisk soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water in a bowl.
  4. Pour sauce over beef, stir to combine.
  5. Add broccoli, stir to coat with sauce.
  6. Cover and cook until broccoli is tender-crisp (5-7 minutes).
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve over rice, if desired.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
