Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook onion in olive oil until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup and milk in a bowl. Layer potatoes, beef mixture, and cheese in a greased baking dish, then pour soup mixture over.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.

For a creamier texture, let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
