Method
- Cook the egg noodles in a pot of boiling water according to package directions until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for about 6-8 minutes until fully cooked, then drain excess fat.
- Melt butter in the same skillet and whisk in flour for about 2 minutes to create a roux. Gradually add beef broth while whisking to prevent lumps. Cook until thickened (3-4 minutes). Slowly stir in milk.
- Add seasonings to the sauce and mix well. Reduce heat to low and combine cooked noodles and browned beef into the sauce.
- Fold in sour cream until well incorporated and serve hot.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider using lean ground beef and low-sodium beef broth.
