Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
Cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Other ingredients
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper
For topping
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for topping
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping
Fresh basil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  2. Mix ricotta, marinara, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Combine cooked pasta with sauce mixture and transfer to a greased baking dish.
  4. Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan, then bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a splash of milk or cream before baking.
