Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
Cheese
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Other ingredients
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh basil (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  2. Mix ricotta, marinara, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Combine cooked pasta with the sauce mixture and transfer to a greased baking dish.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Garnish with basil if desired.

Notes

You can add extra cheese on top before baking for a cheesier crust.
