Hobo Casserole Ground Beef

Ingredients
  

ground beef
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (16 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brown ground beef in a skillet, breaking it apart, until no longer pink (5-7 minutes). Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent (2-3 minutes).
  2. Drain excess grease. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Spread beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over beef layer. Arrange frozen tater tots evenly on top.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a lower sodium option, use low-sodium cream of mushroom soup.
