Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4-5 medium potatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup milk optional
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • salt & pepper to taste salt & pepper
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • fresh for garnish parsley

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice potatoes thinly and sauté onions and garlic in olive oil.
  3. Cook ground beef with seasonings until browned.
  4. Layer potatoes and beef in a greased dish, top with cheese, pour broth (and milk if using), then bake covered for 35-40 mins.
  5. Remove foil, sprinkle Parmesan, bake uncovered for 10 mins, then garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add milk to the beef layer.
