  • 3-4 slightly unripe bananas firm to the touch
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel and thinly slice bananas (about 1/8 inch thick).
  3. Arrange banana slices in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, if using.
  5. Bake for 1-3 hours, flipping halfway, until dried and crispy. Check frequently.
  6. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

For extra crispy chips, ensure the banana slices are very thin and evenly spaced on the baking sheet.
